Application for Board of Directors

Welcome to ZAAC!

The Zumbrota Area Arts Council (ZAAC) in Zumbrota, Minnesota works to share our area’s artistic wealth, believing a vibrant arts organization is critical to a community’s health, wellness, and energy.

In 2011, aided by a very generous outpouring of support from the community, ZAAC purchased the State Theatre, giving us a venue to further our mission of sharing the arts with everyone. Ongoing fundraising is helping with the renovation and restoration of our beloved Theatre! Capital Campaign.

We sponsor and host Music in the Park, weekly summer concerts with great bands and free ice cream.

Youth Art Contest is sponsored by ZAAC as part of Zumbrota’s Covered Bridge Festival.

To encourage our young people to pursue their passions in the arts with an annual Scholarship awarded to an artistic graduating high school senior.

Z-Watercolorists is a group that paints together and also supports the mission of ZAAC.

Art workshops are offered to encourage participation and creativity. Events are for Adults and youth.  Events are posted on the State Theatre Events.

The Volunteer of the Year  is awarded every year to an outstanding individual who has provided their gift of time and talent to this organization

The events at ZAAC are supported by memberships and volunteers.

Great art and music and writing and theater can happen anywhere … even in a small community like Zumbrota and the surrounding area. Come visit. Get involved. Email info@zaac.org to inquire about memberships, volunteering, and Board of Directors applications.  We guarantee you’ll be surprised and rewarded!
