Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band AND Magical Mystery Tour Performed Live by Shabby Road Orchestra

7:30 PMCrossings Event at The Zumbrota State Theatre

In 2017 an ensemble of Twin Cities club musicians, from original rock bands including the Honeydogs, Six Mile Grove, Greazy Meal, and the New Standards holiday show, took on this one-of-a-kind project in honor of the 50th anniversary of the albums. Now once again, The Shabby Road Orchestra (Featuring Brandon Sampson, Adam Levy and John Eller) take the stage to perform two of The Beatles’ most beloved albums on Saturday, November 3, 7:30pm.

There are few albums as beloved or influential as the Beatles’ two 1967 masterpieces: Magical Mystery Tour and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The band reached its creative peak with the albums, utilizing strings, horns, sound effects, animal sounds, and even a calliope. Though the albums contain some of the band’s most memorable compositions, they are extremely challenging and rarely performed live.

Come hear a live rock orchestra complete with strings, horns and woodwinds, as they perform both album in their entirety, including "I am the Walrus," "Penny Lane," "Strawberry Fields Forever" and the unforgettable "A Day in the Life.” The performances have sold out venues in Rochester, the Chanhassen Dinner Theater and the Minneapolis nightclub Icehouse. This will be their first performance at the State Theater in Zumbrota.
