Welcome to ZAAC!

Here in Zumbrota, Minnesota, we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to be surrounded by very talented and creative people. We work to share our area’s artistic wealth, believing a vibrant arts organization is critical to a community’s health and energy. We sponsor a successful art fair called Art in East Park, and host Music in the Park, weekly summer concerts with great bands and free ice cream. Our autumn Art Splash tour gives local artists and authors a chance to showcase their work. In 2011, aided by a very generous outpouring of support from the coummunity, ZAAC purchased the State Theatre, giving us a venue to further our mission of sharing the arts with everyone. Finally, we encourage our young people to pursue their passions in the arts with an annual Scholarship awarded to an artistic graduating high school senior.

Our Mission Statement

The Zumbrota Area Arts Council (ZAAC) is a non-profit whose purpose is to enhance the public’s awareness and appreciation for the arts through education programs and arts- related activities, to cultivate area talent by providing opportunities for exposure, and to cooperate with other organizations who share a similar purpose.
