The Freewheelers are a band that plays nothing but Bob Dylan songs.  Hailing from Dylan's home town of Duluth Minnesota, theFreewheelers got their start playing in the local Duluth bars, and went on to headline at both Dylan Fest in Duluth, and Dylan Days in Bob's boyhood home of Hibbing Minnesota. These events draw Dylan fans from all over the world to Northern Minnesota, and have been a good training ground for the Freewheelers who take pride in playing deep album tracks, with adventurous arrangements.  Much like Bob himself, who is always re- inventing his songs, this trio of veteran musicians are always trying to break new ground.  Expect jokes, sing- alongs of classic songs, and a rousing version of Dylan's 1963 piece, "Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie"

With Brad playing drums, Jamie on guitar, and Russ on bass, all add their vocal talents to their Dylan tribute sound. The band has several albums and is featured on the Duluth Mayor’s Mix , a collection of Mayor Don Ness’s favorite tunes of homegrown Duluth musicians.

When they aren't playing Dylan, the members of the Freewheelers make their own electric bluegrass music in Northern Minnesota venues and beyond.
