Transit Authority: Tribute to Chicago
Transit Authority performs an exciting and powerful tribute dedicated to the best horn driven power rock band to ever come down the pike, Chicago! Presented by Crossings at the State Theatre on Sat., Feb. 17.
Transit Authority brings lush vocal harmony, scorching guitar work, and of course, one of the best horn sections around backed up by a searing rhythm section. The eight talented musicians involved in this affair all have a single common goal in mind, to have a fabulous fun time performing these selected hit songs as accurately and faithfully as possible while still keeping the jam type element in the music! You will hear mega-hits such as, "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?", "Hard Habit to Break", "Make Me Smile", "Old Days", "Just You 'n Me", "Beginnings", "Wake Up Sunshine", "You're the Inspiration", and many more.
Everyone knows and loves these great hit songs. No matter what your age, color, or creed, this is the kind of music that can transcend any boundaries or barriers.
Transit Authority hails from Minneapolis, MN and has been our country's premier band dedicating their shows to the great sounds of Chicago for more than a decade. Their mission is to recreate the excitement of the original Chicago's sound with each and every performance. (Minus the cracks and pops of the vinyl!)
So when you do get the opportunity, get up, and get out, take the ride, and come and see & hear for yourself what it's all about. Catch a great tribute to Chicago with Transit Authority!
