The Zumbrota Area Arts Council, Z-Watercolorists along with Sara Hartzell at My Happy Place, will offer a free workshop on Feb 25th from 2-4PM for students grades 6-12 and March 18th at 1PM- 3:00 for students K-12 at My Happy Place. School- aged students have an opportunity to explore this art form at a workshop with instruction on various techniques. ZAAC will provide all needed materials and supplies. The paintings will be displayed at the “Art in the Park” held during the Covered Bridge Festival , June 16, 2018. Youth will be able to pick up their art piece after the show or at Flowers on Main later in the week.All area students are encouraged to register. There is no cost to register; Free-will donations to ZAAC are happily accepted. Information can also be found on Facebook at MyHappy Place or Z-Watercolorists.
Registration is limited; Linda Smith and assistants from the Z-Watercolorists group will provide guidance and tips. My Happy Place is located at 392 Main Street S. in Zumbrota.To register, email myhappyplacezumbrota@gmail.com with “Watercolor registration” in the subject line. Registrations will be accepted in the order received until the class is full.
