Come meet the song writting artists and hear the stories behind some of your favorite country songs, like Blake Shelton and Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson’s famous albums written by Ray Stephenson and Buddy Owens. Followed by a free art show viewing from both the artists.

This will be an intimate couple hours of story telling and jamming country!! Performence at 7pm, Doors open at 6pm.

Peter Mayer’s songs have been compared to Shaker furniture – clean and light, yet hardly simple. Mayer, whose guitar skills make playing his music seem deceptively easy, will perform at the historic State Theatre in Zumbrota on Sat., May 19, at 8 p.m.

Crossings brings famed Minnesota musical talent Lorie Line to the Zumbrota State Theatre as part of her intimate concert series. The theme, “Live in the Sunshine,” plays off of a hymn from her brand new, highly anticipated release The Heritage Collection, Volume Six.

The Zumbrota Area Arts Council is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking person to fill the role of Theatre Director. This person will be responsible for planning, promoting and managing events at the State Theatre, and will help to develop and work with a diverse volunteer base.
