Bingo, the Winning Musical! — July 17 to 27

0007277_bingo_the_winning_musical_300URGENT NOTICE–Friday July 25 performance has been cancelled due to a city-wide power shut down at 7 pm. 

A Makeup Performance is scheduled for 7:30 pm Sunday, July 27. All Friday tickets will automatically transfer to the Sunday evening performance. Ticket holders may also exchange their tickets for the Saturday evening or Sunday matinee performance.

Tickets are available in Zumbrota at Busby Hardware & Furniture, Crossings at Carnegie and Main Street Pharmacy, and at the door one hour prior to show time. 
Adults: $12 in advance, $14 at the door
Students (18 and under): $8
*Reserved Seating: Adults $16, Students $12
*Reserved seats are available exclusively at Crossings at Carnegie and must be purchased in advance.

The cast of eight includes Brian Adams, Ronda Anderson-Sand, Tomine Erredge, JC Koepsell, Lori Rauen, Aaron Schumacher, Stephanie Schumacher, and Kim Simonson, all of Zumbrota. Orchestra members are Anne Solberg, Charlie O’Brien and Dylon Starr. Sandra Hennings Miller of Byron, Minn. directs the production.

All shows are at the State Theatre, 96 East 4th Street, Zumbrota.

This activity is made possible in part by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Into The Woods — July 13

Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella are among the colorful inhabitants of this Stephen Sondheim, Tony-Award-winning musical! If you have ever heard people talk of the musical Into the Woods you understand the passionate words used to describe what they think about it. Amazing. A wonderful musical. One of Sondheim’s strongest scores.

Come and watch this culminating event presented by the participants of Crossings Theatre Camp, Saturday, July 13, at 2:30 pm at the State Theatre, 96 East 4th Street in Zumbrota.

Admission is FREE!

This camp experience was led by Daved Driscoll, founder of Words Players Theater in Rochester.

Gravitone, The Musical — April 14

We are proud to bring you "What's The Matter With Captain Gravitone?" featuring the music of String Theory on Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. We have been selected as one of six venues for this original production funded in part by the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council.

General Idiocy and Siren Seductress Leather Alice are teaming up to make the world "more stupider."  It's up to Captain Gravitone to use his super powers to make people pick the best choices, save the world and gather the courage to ask his long time love, Emma, out on a date. Featuring the music of String Theory http://elihoehn.com/stringtheory/  and poetry of John Rezmerski, it's a family-friendly comic-book farce that will have you laughing and dancing.

Advance tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under and are available at Crossings and Wild Ginger in Zumbrota. You may also purchase them online at http://gravitone.wix.com/gravitone. Doors open at 1:15 p.m. Tickets at the door are $7 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and ZAAC members.
