Sing Me Back Home: The Definitive Merle Haggard Tribute

7:30 PMCrossings Event at The Zumbrota State Theatre

Crossings brings “Sing Me Back Home: The Definitive Merle Haggard Tribute Show,” featuring Bobby Vandell and his All Star Band with Melanie Rosales, to the State Theatre.

Audiences can revisit all their favorite Merle Haggard tunes as they listen to Vandell and his band and experience this nostalgic collection of the classics they love.

Haggard is known for hits like, “Okie from Muskogee,” “The Fightin’ Side of Me,” and “I Wonder if They Think of Me.” With his band the Strangers, he helped create the Fender Telecaster-twang of the Bakersfield sound.

Haggard, who died in April, had 38 singles hit number one on U.S. country charts between the 1960s and ’80s. He received numerous awards and honors for his music, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and a Kennedy Center Honor.
