Free Sunday Classic Movie: Angel and The Badman (1947)
Angel and The Badman (1947, starring John Wayne, Gail Russell, Harry Carey)
Quirt Evans, an all round bad guy, is nursed back to health and sought after by Penelope Worth, a Quaker girl. He eventually finds himself having to choose between his world and the world Penelope lives in. Starring John Wayne, Gail Russel and Harry Carey.
All of the movies will be shown in their original, unedited format, with a pre-show newsreel or cartoon from the same era. Concessions will also be available for purchase at these shows. The movies are sponsored by individuals and businesses and by ZAAC.
While admission to the films is free, free will donations are encouraged and gladly accepted, with all proceeds from Classic Movie Sundays funding continued restoration and operation of the Historic State Theatre building.
The events at ZAAC are supported by memberships and volunteers.
Great art and music and writing and theater can happen anywhere … even in a small community like Zumbrota and the surrounding area. Come visit. Get involved.
