    Free Sunday Classic Movie: King of the Cowboys (1943)

    King of the Cowboys (1943, starring Roy Rogers, Smiley Burnette, Bob Nolan)

    The Governor sends Roy to help bring in a gang of saboteurs. Roy joins a traveling show and soon learns the saboteurs communicate during Maurice's mind reading act that uses a hidden receiver. But Maurice is on to Roy. Roy narrowly escapes when Maurice leaves him tied up in a warehouse they are blowing up. But Maurice then kills a man and blames Roy who now finds himself in jail. Starring Roy Rogers, Smiley Burnette, and Bob Nolan.

    All of the movies will be shown in their original, unedited format, with a pre-show newsreel or cartoon from the same era. Concessions will also be available for purchase at these shows. The movies are sponsored by individuals and businesses and by ZAAC.

    While admission to the films is free, free will donations are encouraged and gladly accepted, with all proceeds from Classic Movie Sundays funding continued restoration and operation of the Historic State Theatre building.

The events at ZAAC are supported by memberships and volunteers.
