Phil Thompson presents Legends of Country
Don’t miss out on this vibrant concert that includes the best of country music from 1950 through today!
After 4 consecutive seasons of sold-out performances at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Legends of Country is making its debut at the Zumbrota State Theatre and is filled with #1 Billboard™ country chart-toppers from the 50’s all the way through today! Close your eyes and imagine yourself at the Grand Ole Opry as you listen to songs by all of country music’s biggest legends including Glen Campbell (Rhinestone Cowboy), Roger Miller (King of the Road), Hank Williams (Hey Good Lookin’), Ronnie Milsap (Smokey Mountain Rain), Patsy Cline (Crazy), Willie Nelson (Always on My Mind), George Strait (Amarillo By Morning), Kenny Rogers (The Gambler), Dolly Parton (Jolene), Garth Brooks (The Dance), Alan Jackson (Chattahoochee), Toby Keith (Should Have Been a Cowboy), Trisha Yearwood (She’s in Love with the Boy), Vince Gill (One More Last Chance) and many, many more!
Returning to the State Theatre after last year's popular "BIlly & Elton: The Hits" tribute is Minnesota's piano man Phil Thompson (WCCO TV's "Man About Town" & Kawai-endorsed touring pianist & vocalist) along with some of Minnesota's most celebrated country session players including Pat Frederick on fiddle (of The Daisy Dillman Band), Kenny Wilson on pedal steel, Jake Hegna on guitar, Justin Mishler on bass and Luke Rivard on Drums. Also joining Legends of Country is special guest vocalist Monica Livorsi.
