Peace, Love, Blues and Grooves: Jimmi and the Band of Souls Live!
Jimmi and the Band of Souls is an award-winning blues band with members from both Minneapolis and Rochester. One of their guitarists, Tom Kochie, was just voted into the Minnesota Blues Hall of Fame.
Their performances are high energy and full of soul and passion. They play boogie-woogie. They play slow and lonely. They play toe tappin’, deep groovin’, and hard drivin’. You won't want to sit still when they start to play.
The six-piece band brings a host of diversity too: Electric guitar, slide guitar, acoustic guitar, harmonica, saxophone, bass, drums, and congas. It’s a full sound that changes in tone and timbre with every song. They are meant to be seen and, once you have, they won't be forgotten.
The events at ZAAC are supported by memberships and volunteers.
