    The R.D. Olson Blues Band brings high energy Blues to fill your soul and move your feet! His new album is titled "Born In The Country".

    R.D. Olson was born and raised in Zumbrota, MN on a small 140-acre farm just a few miles from downtown Zumbrota. Olson's family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in the early 1980s.

    R.D. Olson is the "Real Deal" and has earned the awards to prove it! He won the Arizona 2014 Blues Challenge in Phoenix and went on to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis ( IBC ). In 2015 Olson won the Northern Arizona Blues Challenge and again went on to Memphis. He was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame in October 2015. In June of 2016, Olson began serving on the Board of Directors of the ABHOF (Arizona Blues Hall of Fame).

    Olson has performed on stage with many of the greats, including Grammy winner Beverly Guitar Watkins, Alligator recording artist Long John Hunter, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Willy Dixon, to name a few.

    After 40 years of traveling and playing in the Southwest, as well as other parts of the country, Olson has relocated back to Minnesota and will be performing at the Zumbrota State Theater with special guests, The Ross William Perry Band, Saturday, Sept 30th, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.

The events at ZAAC are supported by memberships and volunteers.
