Nim's Island

A young girl, Nim, inhabits an isolated island with her scientist father. When her father fails to return home after a storm, Nim emails the reclusive author of the novel she's reading, hoping for some assistance. Starring Abigail Breslin, Jodie Foster and Gerard Butler.

2 pm Show time. Rated PG.  Doors open at 1:15 pm.

100 FREE copies of the book Nim’s Island will be available at the Zumbrota Public Library after Christmas. Books are available on a first come, first serve basis. One copy of the book distributed per family.

William Kent Krueger is coming!

The State Theatre is proud to announce the appearance of this beloved local author at 7 pm on Thursday, October 25.

William Kent Krueger, a multi award-winning author and crime writer, lives in St. Paul. He is best known for his Cork O'Connor series set primarily in Minnesota. He is the recipient of  back to back Anthony awards for best novel and is a four time Minnesota Book Award winner. 

Krueger will take the stage to discuss all his books, including his most recent work, Trickster's Point, which debuted at #12 on the New York Times bestseller list.

This program is free and open to the public.
